The final results to one of the closest tournaments that WCM Claudia Munoz has played in the last 4-years is now over and the tournament directors have posted in the tournament hall the final standings.

From 5th to 1st place was a 1/2 point seperation. Claudia will be bring home to Ciudad Acuna one of the trophies that are in the top picture. We, the team of Claudia Munoz, feel very happy with her results being that correct action and a vast improvement occured between her 9th place finish in the Mexican Open 2008 (a month ago) and her finish today...1/2 points away from 1st place. Her only loss was to EVAN XIANG (1641) in the 3rd round, who was the #1 ranked player in this category. FIRST AND FOREMOST WE WANT TO THANK GOD BY GIVING HIM ALL THE HONOR AND PRAISE. I also want to thank Prof. Hugo Ordonez, (Claudia's Opening/Defensive Coach) who mounted the titanic task of changing Claudia's entire defensive repetoire with black in less than 5 weeks after the MEXICAN OPEN 2008. This huge task was challanging for both Claudia and myself since I practically halted our entire middle and endgame coaching sessions to assist Prof. Hugo in this monumental task. Claudia arrived with an entire black system to Dallas...and she did not lose with blacks. I also want to thank the people that during these 3-days have been sending me emails of support, we have lots of friends that care for us. Los resultados finales a uno de los torneo mas reñidos de los 4 años que WCM Claudia Muñoz juega ajedrez a llegado a su fin. Los árbitros ya pusieron los resultados finales en el salón de Juego:

De la 5ta a la 1era posición solo hubo una separación de ½ puntos. Claudia estará regresando a Ciudad Acuña con uno de los trofeos que observan en la fotografía de encabezado del blog. Nosotros, el equipo de apoyo de Claudia Muñoz , nos sentimos contentos con los resultados de hoy siendo que hubo acción correctiva al mismo tiempo que un crecimiento notable entre el lugar 9 que saco en el ABIERTO NACIONAL 2008 hace un mes y su resultado hoy de ½ del primer lugar. PRIMERAMENTE LE DAMOS LA GLORIA Y HONRA A DIOS POR LOS LOGROS DE CLAUDIA. Ademas, deseo reconocer y agradecerle públicamente al Profesor Hugo Ordoñez de Nueva Rosita, Coahuila (el entrenador de aperturas y defensas de Claudia) por la labor TITANICA que realizo en nuestra hija al cambiarle todo el sistema de negras en menos de 5 semanas después del ABIERTO NACIONAL 2008. Esta labor no fue fácil para Claudia o para mí siendo que prácticamente deje mi entrenamiento de ella en juego medio y final para asistir al Profesor Hugo en esta labor. Claudia llego a Dallas con todo un nuevo repertorio de negras y JAMAS perdió con ese color. Deseo aplaudir al esfuerzo de Claudia por tener un espiritu de excelencia y voluntad de ganar no unicamente a nivel estatal sino a niveles nacionales e internacionales. Un aplauso al esfuerzo familiar de mi esposa y Faith mi hija junto con toda la gente en el norte de Texas que nos apoyaron toda esta semana con patrocinios para los Panamericanos en Argentina.
